Alaska Center for Energy and Power

Run by the University of Alaska Fairbanks, this organization is focused on research into how to lower the cost of energy in Alaska.

Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation

FEDC focuses on engaging the local community and connecting experts with decision-makers. Project areas include Military, Energy, Agriculture, Technology-Led Development, Forestry, Mining, Rural Outreach/Regional Hub, and Cold Weather Testing.

Cold Climate Housing Research Center

CCHRC was founded to promote and advance the development of healthy, durable and sustainable shelter for Alaskans. Their website archives plenty of useful data, so go there to search by topic (i.e. Building Science, Energy, Indoor Air Quality etc.)


Fairbanks Central Recycling Facility

The Fairbanks North Star Borough’s Central Recycling Facility opened September 1, 2017. ​​The facility is managed under the Public Works Department / Solid Waste Division. Through June 2019, the facility has processed over 1,400 tons of materials.
